Scent of the Day

SotD 20th July 2011
Montale : Blue Amber

Despite of the blazing sun and hot-oven air of Bangkok in mid-rainy season, I crave for this kind of scent recently. If I hadn't found Ambre Sultan, Blue Amber will sure made its way to my scent wardrobe soon after I had sniff it.
Blue Amber is a kind of scent you'd reach for when you need a sweet, warm fuzzy feeling on the dark, cold day. I don't own a bottle, just a tiny sample vial I got from Luckyscent.

Here is the notesItalian bergamot, bourbon geranium, coriander, patchouli, vetiver, amber, vanilla

Going out in a few hours. Still can't make up my mind on what to wear. The drizzle just stopped so the weather is pretty cool, perfect for almost everything in my 'fume wardrobe.

4th Oct 2011
It's been awhile since my last SotD. post.
Bangkok weather had been very hot until a few days ago, so today is a good day to pick something nice and pamper myself with it.

I'm visualizing my wardrobe right now and I think I will try to go through all of my Jo Malone so that I can write some review about them.

Alright, I'll choose Jo Malone : Sweet Lime & Cedar today.

April 2012

Funny to think that a bottle of perfume got me a job!

I purposely picked this delicious scent when I first had to meet with my potential student.

Lostmarc'h : Lann-Ael is a "so-yummy-I-want-to bite-my-arm-off" scent.

The notes, according to LuckyScent  are : Buckwheat, Cereals, Milk, Apple and Vanilla.

To me Lann-Ael smells like some sort of sweet baked desert with caramel poured generously on top. It was (one of my many) love a first sniff!
I do like vanilla and butter and caramel but those are very hard to come together without feeling cloying! But thanks heaven, Lann-Ael doesn't give me the headache.  Though I think it is a good scent for fall or winter but hey, Bkk has no real winter so I will have it anyway.

And once I used it to "lure" my little pupil to like me, I was bound to use this scent EVERY TIME I giving her art lesson! And that is ONE whole month of April, when Thailand temperature soars to the peak!

The key is to keep it light, go easy on the nozzle, and you are good to go, ready to be eaten! ;)

Snuggling with someone on a sofa watching good movie
on a cold day, that is what Lann-Ael for.
Oh, you don't need popcorn, really!
